Emily Valandingham, Esq.

Emily received her B.A. in journalism with a minor in political science from The Ohio State University in 2008 and her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School 2011. She was admitted to the State of Ohio Bar in November of 2011 and has held a variety of legal positions throughout her time as a practicing attorney.

Emily began her career as a judicial staff attorney at the Franklin County Common Pleas Court where she worked on many different types of civil matters focusing on researching, reviewing and drafting opinions, and working with parties to resolve disputes. From there, she went on to work as an associate attorney representing injured parties in litigation. She subsequently worked in financial compliance and as an e-discovery attorney on complex civil litigation cases. Emily is excited to be able to use her experience to help the clients of Doucet Gerling achieve the best possible outcome from what is often a stressful and complicated process.

Emily is originally from Trenton, Ohio, but is happy to now call Columbus home. She is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University Dance Team and Delta Zeta Sorority. Emily is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Women Lawyers of Franklin County. In her free time, she enjoys running, dancing, golf, and visiting her family in the Cincinnati area whenever she can.
